I’m Guru – a product designer simplifying complex information systems into inclusive human-centric experiences.
In 1997, I was born in Chennai, India. I spent the formative years of my life living in four different cities across the United States. This helped me appreciate various cultures and understand the importance of empathy.
In 2017, I had an epiphany during my undergrad in Computer Science and Engineering. I realized that my purpose was to solve complex real-world problems using user-centered design. This led me to pursue a master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction at Georgia Tech.
At Georgia Tech, I learned about the importance of user research and participatory design by collaborating with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Georgia Aquarium, and Google. I’ve also worked on projects across the fields of robotics, healthcare, and agriculture.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I mentored students to develop mobile applications using the user-centered design process.
Currently, I design experiences for Service Cloud Voice and Digital Engagement at Salesforce. Also, I’m an Accessibility Champion and a Salesforce Lightning Design System Ambassador.
